Laughing Water is one of the few waterfront communities with a private beach and marina.  Laughing Water is also located within Southold Park District lines and provides access to Emerson Park/Beach and Founders Park/Beach. 

Laughing Waters residents have a homeowners association that manages the two marina's, sandy bay beach and park area. The Laughing Water beach is located on 5.5 acres with 360 feet of beach frontage.  The park offers a kayak station next to the boat ramp. The community is located on Corey Creek. The waterway has direct bay access and is very popular with residents for boating and kayaking. Corey Creek is also known for the great fishing and shell fishing. Permits are available at the Southold Town Hall.

Laughing Water homeowners association hosts a summer picnic every summer for the residents. It is the perfect opportunity to slow down and catch up with the neighbors at a summer waterfront activity. The Laughing Water residents are a mix of second home owners, year round residents, retired residents and summer vacation rentals.
